Migrating to UC from ESA- Last two legacy benefit payments was created by LeedsRhino75
Hi. I've just migrated over to UC from ESA. I understand that I will receive two last legacy benefit payments before the three weeks I have to wait until I receive my first Universal Credit.
I received Housing Benefit today and will receive my last ESA payment next Thursday.
But after my first Job Centre appointment yesterday I received a message in my journal saying that receiving my current benefits could affect how much Universal Credit I receive.
Will these two last payments be taken into account over this assessment period and reduce how much UC I receive?
Do I need to ring the DWP and tell them that I'm now receiving UC? Will this affect whther or not I receive the last payment next Thursday?

No, you don't need to phone the DWP to inform them about UC and your UC won't be rduced by the 2 week run on.
Here are the rules about the Benefits Run On ----
" If you’ve applied for Universal Credit, you’ll keep getting your current benefit paid for 2 more weeks. You must still be eligible for your current benefit. You will not need to pay back these extra payments and they will not affect the Universal Credit you might get.
This only applies if you’re getting:
income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
Income Support
Housing Benefit
If you do not make a claim to Universal Credit by the deadline, your last day of entitlement to your existing benefits will be 2 weeks after the deadline."
