Please can you help me before I have a complete breakdown. I tried phoning CAB but was told each time there was no one available. I helped my son with his migration from ESA to UC. He was told he was being sent a letter but it could be ignored. He was then sent another one stating he was being paid two weeks money at the same rate as before. He was paid money but slightly less than they had stated. Why we don't know. It seems to be CB ESA. DO I assume he will get a UC50 to complete or what happens. He was in the support group. He has acquired brain injury and has a carer provided through the local authority . He has been on benefits since he was 16 and is now 45 years old. Somewhere else on your site it mentions he might have to get a sick note. This is difficult because the GP doesn't really know him. Help please. Unfortunately I live about 250 miles away from him
Firstly if the above is your email address you will need to choose another user name for this forum due to internet security. As your son is in the Support Group he will be moved automatically to the Universal Credit equivalent which is the LCWRA group. He won't be sent a UC50 as part of UC Managed Migration. Here is how to contact national CItizens Advice for Benefits assistance. www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/unive...ut-universal-credit/
