Not had the migration letter yet but wondered what our position would be.
My hubby gets ESA support group so would go into the Lcwra group and he also gets enhanced pip. I get enhanced mobility pip and standard care pip and also get carers allowance.
Do I need to put my health conditions down on the UC form? I feel it would be a waste of time going through the wca because I would not get paid anything only the care element because I'm a carer for hubby and I would have no work commitments so why would I put myself through that process and stress
No you are not obliged to reveal your health details if you rather not engage in what the DWP call the Health Journey. As a carer you should be placed in the No Work Requirements Conditionality Group and not have to attend Jobcentre interviews. If you are worried that the Work Coach does not understand this then you could use the Citizens Advice Help to Claim service and their phone number is on page 2 of the UC Migration Letter.
