PIP - Managing Treatments was created by AVMSurvivor
Can anyone please help me understand this better:
I think I am understanding the advice given, but I am confused when I look at the PIP guide on this site, it mentions being massaged, having limbs manipulated, or following a medically prescribed exercise regime should score 2-8 (3c-3f).
But as the actual time on therapy does not count, only the time person needed assistance, person might not score any points at all. Can anyone please help me understand this better?
Another thing I'm stuck on - I am understanding some issues where I can need assistance on this activity (e.g. if I forget to do something), but if some therapy only works with someone else - e.g. someone coming to massage me, or a virtual meeting with psychologist - does that time in those therapies count as being assisted?
My last question on this activity - missing out or overdosing medications, the guide says would score 1 point under 3b.
But guide also mentions PIP regulations were changed on 16/3/2017 so those problems would only satisfy descriptor 3b, but the guide also mentions following a further challenge that was accepted wrong and could score more than one point.
Can anyone please help me better understand this issue?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi AVMSurvivor
I have moved your post. Please don't attach a new question to one of your old posts. The answer from Gordon was five years old and our guides have been updated several times since then and as you noted there has been a legal challenge - it makes it difficult to understand if a new question is linked to out of date information or if you're referring to new information. So I'm not commenting on anything Gordon previously said - which was correct at the time of writing.
The time on the therapy does count, but it is not exclusive to that when considering the time assistance was needed. So if someone was having physiotherapy and time is spent putting down boards, spreading out a towel, attaching weights to the person and cleaning the weights and the boards after the treatment has finished would also be included. It might be 45 mins of physiotherapy and 20 minutes of clearing up. - The total time is 1 hour and 5 mins of supervised assistance.
I can't give you an answer on the overdose question - I agree it is confusing, and I'm waiting for clarification on that one. I'll get it posted when I hear back
