ESA assessment help was created by KPPurple
Hi,
Hope someone can help me as I got the dreaded brown envelope through my door and have a query.
My ability to read large print is blurry, and I can use a magnifier, but my vision is still blurry. I wouldn't be able to do this reliably, for long periods or in low-light conditions.
I also couldn't alert someone to a hazard or find my way to a fire hazard without assistance.
With the near vision chart, would I have to use my magnifier for that?
I'm confused about how the information has been worded.

Further, I'm a bit taken a back where in the assessment guide it says 'if the HCP thinks vision could be improved by pinhole'. I didn't think HCP were now eye consultants?!
Could someone point me in the direction of where I'd find an ESA f2f assessment guide?
The only guides I can find are for the questionnaire and WCA.
I'm dreading this and feel sick! If anyone could answer my questions, that would be great.
Sorry for rambling - thank you.

Hi KPPurple

Have you had your eyesight assessed by the NHS ?
At the WCA the DWP Health Professional could use test charts to make an assessment.

I refer you to pages 69 and 70 of the BenefitsandWork guide--

Here is a link to the HAAS WCA handbook--
