Under Work Plan it says:
“ Your work search and commitments
Work plan
Updated by an agent on 5 June 2025
Jobs
I'll look for and take any work that I'm able to do, including:
Admin work
Hospitality
property Admin
I'll also apply for any jobs recommended by my work coach.
Activities
I've agreed with my work coach that I'll:
Search and apply for all suitable vacancies by using job search sites and social media daily. This will improve my chances of finding paid work. I will provide evidence of my job searching at every appointment with my work coach.
Voluntary activities
I have not agreed any voluntary activities”.
Under “Work I can do” it says:
“ Jobs

Work hours
I'll look for full-time work.
Travel time
I can travel up to 90 minutes to work.
My availability
I'm available for job interviews immediately. I'm available to start work immediately.

Hi Jah
So this means that they ( the Work Coach ) have not made any allowance at all for your health condition. It means that they are asking you to search for work 35 hours per week as the Expected Hours and the employment must be full time. Did you ask your Work Coach to reduce the Expected Hours?

I see. I didn’t know it was possible to request reduced hours. Can they issue sanctions based on something so subjective? How can it be measured whether someone has applied for “enough” jobs, or whether the number of applications equates to 35 hours of job searching per week?
Kind regards,
James

Hi jah
Many claimants get sanctioned for not fulfilling their work commitments. JCP usually want a list of jobs that you have contacted but as you say it is very subjective, remember if you do get a sanction you can ask for a mandatory reconsideration and then appeal.
