Hi Sum

I have no idea, you may want to re-register as an appointee. I would also register on her journal about no appointee status on the claim.

I took your advise and added a note on the journal about the appointee issue.

DWP scheduled an in person ID check at the local jobcentre, which i attended without clmt. ID was copied and noted. Agent couldnt explain why the issue occurred. but did confirm that this info isnt shared between depts in this case PIP /UC .... so broken

Hi Sum,

That's correct - even though they're both DWP systems, they're not linked unfortunately. I know this as it's happened to myself, and I've had it exaplained to me from a manager before with regards to UC. There's also other parts that aren't linked which has happened to me, such as - If you get a backdated UC award for example - even though you're sent a letter in your journal, you have to then visit your local jobcentre and provide them with proof that you've got this award, and that it's entered your bank account, or they'll freeze your money, which is what happened to me - and it was a nightmare too, because everytime I sent a message, no one responded, and it wasn't until I was advised by someone on the UC helpline, that you have to use the payments tab to send a message (if you're without a workcoach). Sadly, a lot of this information isn't included on the system, to advise people what they should be doing.

Chris.

Thanks for sharing Chris , i feel your pain .

Looks like this is normality at DWP - siloed systems and no information to manage expectations = clmts running around like headless chickens

i am sure you're not a chicken though 🐔 - got to have courage to take in dwp at any stage.
