Parkinsons - CiC vs Review success was created by Sum
Dear B&W friends,
I may have posted before that i submitted a CiC for loved one around June 25 , just before the review was due. So i had to do the review as well π- double trouble
DWP decision on the CiC is back. I am pleased to say the award has been uplifted from std DL to enhanced and from no mobility to enhanced mobility.
Not had a response from the Review team. π€πΌthe decsion is in sync !!
Although i am pleased the award has changed to enhanced . I am still sitting on the fence about the points awarded under daily living activities.
Is there anything i should consider before challenging the scoring OR would i be better off reporting CiC to reinforce correct scoring for activiites .... eg communication tasks are scored zero atm but in actual fact loved one needs support .
The challenge wont make difference to financial award, but in my mind would reflect his condition more accurately and the so the scoring ......
what do you think of this approach ? Am i being pedantic about the scores ?

Hi Sum
This is something you will have to decide for yourself. Some claimants are just satisfied with the award and don't want to risk the DWP changing their mind if they challenge where the points were awarded and some people feel so strongly they insist on telling the DWP what they think.
You can say that you are satisfied with the award, but are unhappy with the actual points allocated and ask for your comments to be put on file, but you do need to understand that there is a small risk they may look again and change their decision. I have only heard of that happening once, but it is a risk.
