I am currently on contribution non income ESA, no UC. I received a letter from our friendly DWP requesting information regarding a small pension I receive and requesting information about my husband’s military pension. I questioned this with the DWP and was told 3 times it has no bearing on your claim. So why would the DWP require this information? My husband is furious as he doesn’t want his personal data sent in the mail and the DWP won’t return back to him.
I then received another letter in October’ stating, we have looked at your claim again following a recent change, I know nothing about. Is this the recent pay increase? Also saying about the Christmas bonus.
On the reverse of the letter it says‘income and benefits’ No income will be taken off your ESA. Furthermore the amounts on this page apply from 10 April 25 to 26 November 25.
I was awarded non income ESA in January 25.
Please can anyone shed some light on the above. I will be calling them on Monday.
