Sending medical evidence late UC was created by Tigerlily11
Hi everyone,
I have helped my husband fill in a UC50 form. He kept putting off filling it in so we did not have time to get a supporting medical letter. The form was posted last week and was received on time. We now have a letter of support. My question is how do we go about getting it to the correct department. We are in Northern Ireland? Do we send it to the same address as was on the form and ask them to attach it to his UC50?
Thank you for any advice on this.
Jessica

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Tigerlily11
Send it to the same address. Make it clear what it is and, as usual, make sure his name and national insurance number are on all pages. Keep a copy of the supporting letter.

Hi,
My husband found out today on his UC Journal that he has been awarded LCWRA with no health assessment thank goodness.
Thank you so much to everyone for all the advice as we could not do this without you.
As I have LCWRA I know he will not be entitled to anything but at least he will have peace for a while.
My question is should we ask for how they came to the decision and what should we ask as it was obviously a Paper Based decision.
Thank you again,
Jessica

Hi Jessica
You could phone up the HAAS service provider for your area and ask for a copy of the assessors report. The report is called a UC85a for a paper based WCA.
Let me know how you get on.
