Hi

This post is about the marketing message in UCJ ' 'Thinking about work but don't know where to start?' ?'

I was curious about what support is offered now DWP have recruited more WC. (🚽unfortunate abbrev ! funny where my brain went )

Our last meeting was in person with a DWP Disability advisor. We were disappointed tbh. The agent was lovely and more empathetic than constructive. Went away empty handed.

Son isn't keen on it.

I followed the link and left a message on the UCJ. The WC called me back ! She was lovely and we talked for 40mins . She suggest work experience oppo ! I was hopeful. Have to sell that to my son

I then read the news article Right To Try Work legislation is worthless and now full of doubt and worry

Anyone else dipped their toe in this WC offer ? PLs share your experience.

I was hoping to provide some further insight from initiating this process. A follow up appt was booked for the 15 May 26. However, the appt has been cancelled by an agent following our in person visit to a local JC yesterday.

We went to our nearest office to verify new bank details. The Agent said we should have reported this to our allocated JC. Clmts are not allowed to 'walk in' and provide evidence at any ol' branch apparently. She referenced ' different cost code ' budget implications. Wonder if she was abudget holder moonlighting on the frontline 😏!

I have issue with this rationale for a couple of reasons, but didn't have the energy to discuss it further with her or on here atm. 😫

To cut a long story short, as a result of our visit , agent reallocated the clmt to another JC. This resulted in the cancellation of the work coach meeting.

I had high hopes after speaking to the WC. Now we r in no-mans land again.

Hi Sum

Jobcentre staff are supposed to be " civil servants " and if you felt you were treated brusquely you could phone the DWP and ask for a complaints form.

I don't think I can be bothered tbh.

I still haven't had response from the complaints team on another issue raised months ago !

If had to hold my breath for DWP response for accountability, i would have been dead and buried by now ☠️
