6 Month respite

I have been on IB for 21 years and in that time had 7 medicals and filled in a greater number of IB50's .
After my last IB50 I was sent for a PCA (the first for 5 years) on Saturday. I have just received my letter (within 4 days)informing me that I will continue to get the benefit BUT my next review is for 13/9/10.
Is this the new way forward reviews every 6 months, is it just me or does it coincide with the introduction of the new benefit.

That is a very short period for a review. Looking on the bright side, it probably means that it will be another PCA rather than the WCA for ESA - apologies for so many acronyms.
