esa and a medical lasting ten minutes was created by rachel
after a big blunder with esa and my fault for not putting evidence on my illness i get called for a medical, so i assume i never made it to the support group , i have end stage copd both lungs are stuck to my rib cage two very nig operations and when i went to the medical everyone eles was in there for 50 or 60 minutes , I went in and was out in 10 minutes , the doctor never put me through the point system, he said i doubt your be called for another medical , as i went in with letters from my consultants plus gp with all my illnesses, he said to me its ok im not going to put you through the next test i have enough here to report on, then he said in fact there's another form that i will use for you as well , and in he came with a one page form, he filled in ticking boxes, I tried to peep at it but couldn't, all i saw was he ticked the last box on it ,
now because i never went on to the points medical does that mean i failed ?

  			 				Hi Rachel,

From what you say I think it's highly unlikely that the health professional has decided that you don't meet the medical criteria for an award of ESA. They don't have the power to cut short the assessment unless, for example they have decided that you are exempt or that you qualify for the support group

Good luck,

Steve

i hope so , as im on oxygen and nhs give you cilinders that only last a few hours to go out with, i turned up at interview without mine but a letter saying i was on it , i told him that im still waiting for a portable one as i now have sleep apnia and because my lungs are stuck to my rib cage i cant have the normal mask at night , plus doctors leters to prove what i said was true, he was charming and very polite , and the panick on his face was picture when he relised i was sitting there possable about to go hypoxic through lack of oxygen , i already failed a assessment but was recalled because they got me mixed up with someone eles, so lucky i never had to appeal, they decided i was fit for work because someone had same name as me on that day, but i was sick at the medical and went home before it began, so really they had right to fail me it was unlucky on someone at that time had same name as me lol , anyway i have to wait now for the letter to say what and if i passed . but your info on this site helped alot i was all ready for the assessment, but im pleased he never done it, as i would never have got on the couch even with a step , im whealchair bound and house bound and they would need a host to lift me up on it, not because im big but with my lung oparation i cant get up one step let alone a couch, but thanks for the reply .
