Change of Care Needs During Application was created by LauraM Matthews
How do I inform the DWP about these changes as some of them are quite significant. It has been 14 weeks since I applied and the problems I am now experiencing are 3 months +. They were new at the time of the claim so I didn't include the new symptoms or diagnosis. I don't want to do it over the phone as I have cognative problems and will not be able to put my self across well enough, I need someone with me to do that, so how do I do it?
Thank you
Thank you

Hi Laura,
As you've not had a decision yet on on your claim, you just need to let the DWP
know in writing that your care needs have changed since you applied.
You'll need to provide them with details of your care needs, if possible with details from your GP or other health care professional who may be treating you.
Send any further information by recorded delivery and make sure that as well as your name you include your NINO, as that's what the DWP file your records under.
Hope this helps.

Thank you
My Consultant has just put a new report in so it will have all the symptoms and problems I am experiencing in it, so that should support the new information I send in by letter.
Will do that in the morning and get it send off as per your advice, Thank you again for your help.
