Does anyone know or can put my mind at ease this question.

If you have already been granted ESA support group to be reviewed in eight years and indefinite DLA, under the new government they can take away what you have been granted and make you reapply under the new rules?

Thank you.

This is the first case I have come across, where an ESA claimant has been placed in the support group for a specified period of time.

When you refer to the new rules, you have already been assessed under the ESA regulations which came into force in October 2008. Therefore unless the new government intend to introduce any further amendments to illness/disability benefits in the foreseeable future, then unless your circumstances change or in the case of your DLA you are selected for the Right Payment Programme(RPP), the likelihood is that you will continue to receive ESA at the current rate until your review date, and in the case of your DLA, you will continue to receive it indefinitely.
