The CPAG Welfare Benefits and Tax Credit's handbook is a brilliant publication, to which I have subscribed for many years. It has very comprehensive content and a snip at £9 for benefit claimants.
Incidentally, since New Labour came to power and before they were ousted last month, it literally doubled in size as a result of their continuous meddling, consequently increasing the complexity of both the benefits and tax credit systems.
