Incapacity Benefit Review Due

My incapacity benefit review was due in February 2010, after five years not having to send in medical certificates.
Will I be tested for Incapacity or ESA
and when? I am getting worried about failing as its for mental health issues,
and I am no longer attending a day centre, which closed. I'm now only getting tablets from my GP. Thanks.

Hi,

At the moment you would still be assessed for incapacity benefit. Moving claimants from IB to ESA begins with pilots in October and in full next spring.

However, it's impossible for us to say when your review might happen, I'm afraid.

put my mind at rest a bit as I got ib medical tomorrow and just a bit worried it would be esa medical

My Review after 5 years was due last Autumn and I haven't heard a thing - so there must be a backlog or is something else going on? Is no news good news?

My review was December 2009, and guess what? last week the dreaded ATOS letter arrived with the IB50 to complete.I'm 65 next April so my IB will be stopped anyway.I'm also in receipt of DLA HR Mobility Component(awarded after medical 1993).Is this a ploy to get me off both benefits?
