Informing DWP Change in Condition. was created by WmWallace
Hi Members,

I rang up the DWP to tell them there had been a change in my medical circumstances ,this was on the 29 April 2010, they had got worse. I am in the WRAG ESA group. To date they have not got back to me.

Do they need to respond, I telephoned them, because did not know whom to write to.

regards.

It is always best to communicate with the DWP in writing. Even if you do make telephone contact, always follow up it by confirmation in writing otherwise there will be no record of what has been said, unless of course, you record the telephone conversation.

If you received a benefit uprating letter in April or before that time, the address to whom you should send any correspondence will be at the header of the letter, normally in the top right hand corner.

It may be the case that having contacted the relevant office on April 29, there is a backlog of work and they haven't as yet dealt with your enquiry. However, don't leave anything to chance and repeat your enquiry in writing. Keep a copy of the letter.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
