ESA APPEAL was created by altandubh
I am awaiting my ESA appeal, and feeling despondent so much that i am thinking of cancelling it, would I have to pay the money back that I receive while I am waiting. its starting to get to my nerves, having this hanging over me, I have 2 years until i can collect my state pension. I have a small works pension and am feeling like subsidising it with my savings :(

Hi Camlo

You would not have to pay any ESA payments back simply for withdrawing an appeal. I would expect ESA payments to stop from the date you withdraw your appeal.

I understand how stressful the appeal process can be, but I would encourage you to pursue your appeal if you are able to, and claim what's rightfully yours.

Good luck

Derek

Thank you for reply, I know you are right, I am worried about losing my DLA when they review me, I suppose they will try to take it away
