Unfit for work notes was created by Maz
I won my ESA medical appeal and was given 18 points, and awarded the work related component. Do I still have to send in a Doctors certificate?

Thanks for that, I have tried for two days to contact the DWP, but to no avail, and I am getting conflicting advice from CAB and local Jobcentre. My present unfit for work note runs out in Jan, so it a relief to know that I don't have to fight through the snow for another. Will DWP contact me to confirm this, or is it just accepted?

Hi Maz
I would suggest that you try to contact DWP to get confirmation. I would also suggest sending them a copy of the first-tier tribunal's decision notice, as they do seem very slow to process a decision overturned on appeal. Apparently it can take weeks for them to receive it, even though the tribunal usually post it on the same day as the hearing.
You should not have to send further sick notes, but if their administration are slow to update their records and they are still expecting one, it may be sensible to send another sick note to avoid your benefit payments being disrupted.
Good luck
Derek
