Medical was created by LS
I'm claiming for ESA and DLA.
I've just received a letter from ATOS (form AL1 10/10) for a medical.
They don't say whether it's for the ESA or the DLA?
Has anyone any idea as to which one or both?
I want to be prepared for the medical and read up on what to expect.
Please can you advise me?
Thank you.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Len,
I'm afraid I don't know the answer to your query.
Most ESA medicals are done at a medical examination centre and most DLA - but not all -medicals are at the claimant's home. The simplest solution would be to contact Atos and ask them what the medical is for.
Good luck,
Steve

The medical is at the Romford medical examination centre.
It's to be carried out for the DWP by ATOS "in relation to my benefit claim"
Am I to take that as ESA then?
It's my first use of ANY forum, so I'm not sure of the etiquete used.
Thanks.

Good luck with your medical. If you can take someone with you. Get them to make notes of what is said in case you need to appeal. Watch out for the question how did you get here. It is to see if you can cope with public transport. Just tell them how you are on a bad day, and if you can, do not make eye contact with the doctor. Hope it goes ok. jasmine

Why is it important not to make eye contact.
