Hi,
Can anyone advise me ? I passed the Atos Medical in Oct 2010, the Atos Doctor said he would be recommending I don't work again,as does my own Doctor due to having 2 disc prolapsed and chronic sciatic, yet I received a letter to say I must attend a Work Focused Interview Today they informed me, I will have to take another Work Focused Medical in the near future and they will decide if I can work part time. I thought once I had passed the Atos Medical and I had received a letter from DWP that I would not be required to attend another medical for 3 years, so why do work Focus tell me I will be call into one of their medicals ??? what a waste of time and money is this ?? do they not read the Atos Medical Report ??

The Work Focussed Interview is standard for all members of the Work Related Activity Group, you are required to attend six such interviews.

As far as I am aware, and I'm sure I will be corrected if not :( these JCP staff are not normally part of the medical review process, so would not be involved in calling you in for a new medical.

Perhaps you don't look ill enough when you've met with them :)

I agree with Tina if you are put in the work related activity group you HAVE TO ATTEND work focussed interviews,thats the rules!
