DLA Medical visit was created by Tine50
This is the first time I have posted on this forum, I just wondered if anybody can advise me about a Medial visit on Thursday.

I previously got higher rate mobility and lower rate care DLA, it ran out and when I re applied I was turned down. I asked for the decision to be looked at again as my condition hasn'r improved since my last claim.

A few days ago I received a letter from ATOS saying that a doctor is going to visit. I am now very worried and scared, any suggestions or advice would be really really welcome?

I believe it is not unusual for doctors to visit DLA claimants at home in order to carry out a medical.

I would suggest you go back through your DLA form to refresh your mind about what you write.

It would also be a good idea to have someone with you who can act as a witness abd take notes of what is asked and answered.

Hope this helps

Hi,

The factsheet in the post above is very out of date. A statement is no longer shown or read to the claimant and they do not get to sign it. There's very detailed information in the members area about what happens at a DLA medical visit.
