Further to this post , I applied for my preserved pension about 3 years ago and was turned down.
I was told there was no appeal.
I have been on incapacity since 2005 and 2000 i was medical retired from the royal mail as unfit for any work.
Do you think i could try again for it.
I dont suppose it would be much i did 8 yr in the Navy.

There is an easy answer to yourt rhetorical question ... pre 6 April 2005 war pensions have some very old regulations going back years and years
for example carers allowance from the DWP allows the person to earn £100 per week
where as an allownace like that for WP people was till not that long ago worked out in shillings and is still only about £45 A week

have you since then got your war pension ? if so you can ask again IMO contact ... it might be worth something and is better than nothing
