ESA and Work Focused Interviews

ESA and Work Focused Interviews was created by poppycat52
My daughter has just completed her six compulsory work focused interviews. In the meantime she has received a renewal form for ESA (work related group), her award was for a six month period. At her last interview, the interviewer stated that she did not consider my daughter to be 'work ready' as yet (true but very irritating - the interviewer is a clerical worker not a medical professional, what qualifies her to make such statements?) Therefore, because my daughter's conditions is such that she is cannot return to work or training in any capacity at the present time, the six interviews have been, on the whole, a waste of time and money. My question are:-

If she (hopefully) is awarded a further six months of ESA will she have to attend a further 6 compulsory interviews? If so, to what purpose? Surely the whole thing is pointless until a claimaint is near to becoming well enough to be able to make some use of the whole scheme?
