I know that my GP has been threatened with prosecution if she gives out bogus 'fit notes' . On my first visit last year, she took out a calendar for both of us to check the dates when I stopped work due to sickness! (My memory is not very good at the best of times). GP's too may be at the mercy of the system! After all, their expertise is ignored!
Keep your chin up. My doctor has been very supportive. I am still waiting for an appeal date for my ESA refusal following my atos medical assesement, and I am hoping she will continue to support me. Without hope what do we have!!!!!
Your CPN and psychiatrist have said they will support you - please don't lose sight of that. I too have a very supportive doctor for which i am thankful.
Just let them know if and when you are sent any forms to complete so they can support you with the whole process - hopefully you will be fine and won't have to appeal or even attend a medical or anything.
It sounds like you are being overwhelmed by distress - i can only advise you to let your CPN know if it doesn't subside.
