Woman awarded Incap Benefit at Court of Appeal. was created by Jeff1
Hi Page 28 Daily Star (which i dont usually bother with). A 52 year old lady with a condition that makes her allergic to rubber, at one placement she came in contact with elastic bands and she broke out in rashes, She had gone through 2 DWP Tribunals and by the look of it won it was the DWP who took the case to court. The DWP barrister said "Her allergy although inconvenient has not prevented her from shopping, socialising, travelling on public transport and attending tribunal hearings". (are we not allowed to attend Tribunals) Best Wishes.
Benefits for life...because I can't touch rubber.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Do you have the name of the appellant to enable me to search the Daily Star for a link for the story?

Winning cases like this will not do most people any good, they should have been able to find her a placement without rubber bands .. For once in my life I agree with the DWP
