ESA work related group, was created by altandubh
Hi I have just won my tribuneral and was awarded 18 points, now have a work related interview with Job Centre on Wednesday, I am worried as I cannot do things at home never mind at work, I know you can do voluntary work, can you pick it yourself or do they send you somewhere, its such a pain as i retire next year, November 20012, am a bit worried, my 18 points were for 8 months ago, I am now so much worse, it just seems so unfair as I am 60 this year, but have to work until60 and three months, any advice or story welcome.

well it was a waste of time going to my work related interview, as my letter said 9.30 and the letterhead said Peterhead, I got there to find I should of been in Fraserburgh, nothing on my letter said Fraserburgh, to be fair the lady in the job centre was very apologetic, but I had a round trip of 40 miles, for nothing. Maybe you could shop was the answer, I just looked at her and said, shop, I cannot walk much never mind shop. Shpuld I ask for reimbursment of my travel, It was very tiring, and for nothing.

I said to the lady, I retire in 17 months , she said its just standard that we do this, what does that mean, that I may not have to do much!!!!!!!!!!

I am now summoned for another medical assessment after winning my appeal in May, went from 6 points to 18, I have 11 months to go before my retirement, I had filled in my work capability assessment, thinking surely I will be left as I am. Nooooooooooo, I feel really stressed. Especially as /I have an 80 mile round trip to go to medical, on the 22nd December, we have snow now in Aberdeenshire, I am worried about getting there, its physically draining, as my Osteo Arthritis is much worse than my back dated appeal. I filled in lots of things on my form, just cant believe they want to see me for the last ywear of supposedly working.

Hi Camlo

Calling you in does seem rather perverse. I'm not sure how it will be viewed if you simply can't get there, due to adverse weather conditions.

You may find the following of help -
