Dla&State pension age was created by Sandra
hi all

my daughter is filling in my Dla renewal form and i am 59 this year. when is the cut of point for claiming/renewing dla and it turns into pension credit? i thought it was age 62 but with the sate pension age rising would it be later than 62?

the reason i am asking is if its 62 i bet Dla will only give me 2 years before i renew and i feeling is they will then turn me down and i would have to try and claim attendence allowance. I am trying to make my renewal as bet as i/we can for an indefinite award.

thanks

You can claim DLA up to the age of 65.

As far as I'm aware Pension Credit is not affected by DLA or vice versa.

The following site has details of when you can claim Pension Credits, including a link to a Pension Age calculator.

www.direct.gov.uk/en/Pensionsandretireme...onCredit/DG_10018692

Hope this explains it.
