Trust Funds was created by RachelPotter

Hi, I have been searching the web but cannot find any useful information!

Please, does anyone know whether or not child trust funds count as savings?

Any help would be very much appreciated,

Setting up a trust for your childrens inheritance is likely to be complicated. I would start by contacting you local CAB or Welfare Rights office, but you should expect to need the use of Solicitor with relevant experience in order to make it happen.

To give you an idea of the complexity, the chapter in the DWP Decision Makers guide that deals with Capital is 360 pages!

the only charity i know that gives advice on this is mind i think (regards children)

Do take into account the new trust funds which are new and run by banks and dwp

thats not the same as being held in trust till they grow up
