how long does it take

I posted a month ago as my husband had his medical cancelled but did not get the letter, so turned up. Thing is we have never received the said letter, nor have we got the outcome yet. Noticed on somone else's post (see "result" that it took them about a month to get a reply, but is this usual? If so we will get ours this week, but my concern is nobody seemed to know where my husband's file is when we rang DWP as they had not recieved it back from Atos. We have also never received the said letter from Atos re the cancellation. Also, rather bizarely, at the weekend we did get a receipt for the £15 payment they gave us when we turned up not knowing it had been cancelled, but it got sent to the wrong house number and got returned to sender and then eventually to us- I assume the post office worked this out. I am just a bit worried they have no record and that we will have to go through it all over again. They do still seem to be paying us IB.

Sadly it is impossible to say how long you may have to wait for a result. It can depend on a number of factors and with the IB/IS to ESA migration ongoing, things do seem to have slowed down considerably in some areas. However at least your husband is still receiving his IB which is a good thing.

You could of course contact ATOS Medical Services (preferably in writing) at the address on the letter your husband was sent to enquire what is going on.

Hi, try not to worry .I had a similar situation.I rang ATOS and DWP to see how my claim was going and neither of them knew anything about my case.They even denied my medical had been cancelled.VERY shortly after that phone conversation my 'result' letter plopped on the mat .
Good luck, one way or the other it will all come right.
