I cannot deal with all this worry and stress about losing benefit and being treated like a criminal. I know i could not cope with any type of work. i have had enough of all this. i have written letter to send for appeal and reconsideration to be put in support group. How long is this likely to take.
I get all my help from family and never have claimed dla. Should i try for this benefit incase I am left with no money

I am very new to discussing problems on forums with others. I have been suffering from cfs for over 17yrs . Have tried everything to try and improve health. I have tried Voluntary work but was an nightmare because of severity and fluctuating symptons. I fortunately have recieved incapacity benefit for all this time and only two medicals in the time. Before recieving esa form I was not due to hear from dwp until 2014. I have been so distressed and unwell since filling out new form and having medical middle of aug. This is the worst i have been since first being diagnosed. I have now been told I have been put in wrag group and contributary esa as of 14th Oct.

Hi,
As Moderators our area of expertise is in relation to disability living allowance, attendance allowance, the personal capability assessment used in connection with incapacity benefits and the work capability assessment used in connection with employment and support allowance. So those are the only subjects on which we can provide reliable information.
Unfortunately, you also need to bear in mind that boards like this can never provide advice to individual claimants about their specific circumstances, all we can offer is general information about how the system works.
This is because there are huge range of factors which could affect your eligibility and it’s not possible or advisable for you to disclose that information on a public forum or for us to ask you the kind of questions that would be required.
We understand that this can be frustrating and that it’s sometimes a question of judgement about the degree to which a question is specific to your claim or more general in nature. But, for our sake and your own it is important that we do our best to stick to giving information rather than advice.
So, for advice about a specific advice you need to contact an advice agency if at all possible.
To find details of an advice agency please see the following:

Sorry we cannot answer more directly but without access to your case papers etc we cannot say whether or not you may qualify for DLA etc. However please do read the guides in the members area which may help answer some of your queries.
Pete
