IB to ESA process questions

Hi, I have just got my letter today saying that I am at the start of this process.

I am feeling a bit upset and overwhelmed so I have only just started looking at information in small chunks. I will download when I can.

But I was just wondering if for now you could advise me of time scales involved.

They say will phone within two weeks? How soon do people generally get the phone call? Is it sooner than that usually?

When the form arrives how long do you have to fill it in before it has to be returned?

I don't want to get my hopes up that I might be exempted from a medical. How long does it take after you've returned the form to be told when your medical is (or isn't)?

How long after the medical do you get to hear the result?

From receiving the letter notifying me that my benefit was changing to being told by letter I was placed in the wrag, without a medical was 6 weeks, I received and returned my esa50 within 2 weeks and had my result 2 weeks later, so in actual fact, I had the phonecall and forms all within a fortnight but it depends on where you live, Im in Edinburgh.

I'm glad you get six weeks for the form cos that should give a chance for doctors etc to write supporting letters.
