Hi,

Whilst the medical member at an IB/ESA/DLA tribunal can ask questions of the appellant, no physical examination takes place at the tribunal.

Occasionally a tribunal maybe adjourned pending a medical examination, however this most often happens when one has not been carried out at some point in the course of the claim. The appellant cannot demand one takes place, it is upto the panel if they think it maybe needed to help them decide on the claim.
