DLA - supporting evidence issues

I recently found a letter written by a Welfare Rights Advisor for an ESA tribunal panel in Dec 2010. This Advisor knew me quite well (having represented me for a previous ESA claim the year before) and he interviewed me at length. His submission to the panel is very detailed in terms of providing information about my condition and how it affects me. He has provided plenty of detail, examples of situations where I struggle day-to-day, and has also written about my background in general. I also feel happy with the way he has quoted me.
As I am low on supporting evidence, I am considering sending in this statement with my claim. Is this a good idea? I’ve never heard of anyone sending in this kind of evidence before. Will the DWP think it irrelevant, or would it inadvertently backfire on me in some way, because I am providing evidence from a ESA tribunal? Any input would be gratefully received x

I just wondered if anyone would be able to give me some advice regarding supporting evidence for a DLA renewal claim.

Hi Feline
If you feel the WRA's report is supportive with regard your DLA renewal, you could submit it as evidence.
You will need to fully complete the DLA renewal form however. The B&W guides will assist with this.
ESA is a different benefit to DLA. ESA is connected to the work you can or cannot do while DLA is about the help you need from someone else due to physical or mental health problems. DLA is not based solely on your medical conditions.
Please read the B&W guides to completing a DLA form renewal.
Regards
Michael
