work programme was created by jenny
After reading latest newsletter on the subject of the work programme, I did some more research on the net.Came across a website saying that at the work related interview if you refuse to sign the data protection sheet they give you, then they cannot share information with other agencies and employers, therefore they cannot put you onto the work programme.
Does anyone know if this is true or even legal.
Also on www.workprogramme.org.uk there is a lot more advice and letters to read on this subject.
Please advise if you think this is good advice or not.

Whether true or not, I expect that signing the data protection sheet is a condition of receiving JSA.

Anyone who refused on the grounds that it may be illegal would likely have to wait years with no JSA for a test case to reach court.

Catch-22. :(
