At the moment I get the severe disability premium added to my income support due to illness because of getting DLA medium care. Just had a thought (which dos'nt happen very often), If i get transfered to the ESA wrag do i get this premium or do i have to be in the support group.
Thanks and best wishes

When you are transferred you should be placed on Contribution Based ESA with an Income Related ESA top-up. The ESA(IR) will entitle you to the Severe Disability Premium as before.Hello.

But now you have thrown up another question Gordon. I thought because i was on income support due to illness because i hadnt paid enough tax in 2 of the years they look at i would be transferred to the income related esa which means i would'nt have to worry about the 12 month rule. Now im not sure about that, could you please clarify to save me from more sleepless nights.
Best wishes

Sorry Sue, didn't read your post properly, you are completely correct, you will be transferred to ESA(IR) not ESA(CB)Thanks for your reply's
