The DWP did ring but unfortunatly it was not at 10 am it was at 10.22 by which time I had a reaction to a tablet and was stuck in toilet so could not get to phone I have just rang the DWP back as I am really really distressed. I was then told they cannot put me through to the decision maker, but they usually try three times if they said they are going to ring you. It is all a massive worry and they obviously do not consider the distress this causes. I wondered if anyone had been told this that they try you three times?
You don't have to speak to the DWP on the telephone, and indeed it would be advisable not to discuss anything associated with an appeal over the 'phone.
As well as causing you undue worry, it is likely that there will be no record of the telephone calls, but moreover you may feel pressurised into abandoning your appeal? As Derek said in a previous post ask the DWP to communicate only in writing.
