Threatening to stop your benefit for not attending a medical when you have already been for one is totally out of order.
If for some reason they have lost all the paperwork or something, they should be compensating you for their error and distress caused, and kindly requesting that you attend another (if totally necessary)!
It is up to you if you feel happy to attend another medical, but would consider putting in a complaint for maladministration (possibly with the support of your MP) either before or after.
I would imagine you are anxious about your benefit suddenly being stopped if you refuse to attend, but I would have thought 'good cause' would come into play.
Best wishes

Hi M4,
I personally have not seen this scenario before on the Forum, (obviously can't speak for others)
If you wish to complain to the DWP, see here:
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/forum?func=vie...mit=6&start=18#72595
It may well be worth while e-mailing your M.P. also from here :
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/forum?func=vie...imit=6&start=6#71521
See information on gaining advice locally from this link :
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/faq/general#help
And follow this link to ATOS's webpage :

It would seem that they expect you to attend 2 x face to face assessments for the one ESA WCA.
As for attendance of the face to face on the 25/11/11, unfortunately unless you can get some written recognition, that they have made a "cock-up", and that you do not have to attend, they have you "over a barrel" in that they could stop your benefit if you failed to attend.
There are "Data Protection" issues here also, if they have lost your medical report etc, from the original face to face, See info here on this :
www.ico.gov.uk/for_the_public.aspx
Hopefully if you complain ASAP, you may gain some resolution to your problems.
cheers

If you did, and they have been paid into your bank or you have some kind of paperwork, this would give proof you actually attended. Just a thought.
