ESA is a benefit paid to claimants who cannot work due to illness/disability. Some can claim ESA based on N.I. Contributions or credits, called contributory based ESA, others
can claim it on their income, called income based ESA. Not an area of my expertise which is DLA, being a former DLA specialist and DLA Tribunal Member
However, whatever anyone tries to tell you, DLA Is a benefit which can be claimed on any care or mobility needs that you may have. The name of the condition you suffer from is secondary; your mobility and/or care needs are what governs whether or not you are eligible to be paid mobility and/or care component. It is non-means and non-taxable.

i got my reconsideration rejection letter on 20/10/11 so thats exactly 5 weeks today & iv still not recieved my pack for going to tribunal & i have my welfare rights interview on monday as well

Looks like there is some waiting involved. I'm going to CAB just in case there is a waiting list to see a WRO. I've telephoned CAB for some advice.
