ESA - Have had my Appeal- What next? was created by angelm
After "0" points at my medical, I had help to take to appeal by my local C.A.B.

She picked 3 descriptors to appeal against, getting 6pts for each, 18 total. So I won my appeal.

Now in WRAG Group, what does this mean for me?

Do I still need to send in sicklines?

Hi,

No, sicknotes (now called Fit Notes) should no longer be required now you have entered the main phase of ESA (ie been placed into the WRAG). However do check that the office dealing with your claim is aware of your appeal result though.

Now you are in the WRAG, you are obliged to attend a series of Work Focussed Interviews. These maybe postponed or deferred at the discretion of Jobcentre plus but if you fail without good cause to attend then your benefit maybe subject to a sanction.

If your ESA is contributory based (as opposed to Income Related) please read 12 Month Limit for ESA(CB)
