Hi,

I've got Cronic Fatigue Syndrome, along with Agoraphobia, Panic Disorder and Anxiety. I sent my form in on the 9th November and I received the letter dated 22nd November today saying they put me in the work related activity group. I cannot believe they have contacted my GP for a report. I have booked an apt to see my GP. How I am meant to get to these work related interviews with agoraphobia I will never know, which I went into great detail on the claim form, along with everything else.

I will appeal if they haven't contacted my GP. I want to see a report from them and get the appeal form but I can't ring them due to my Anxiety, can my partner ring and ask? What should he exactly ask? What for the appeal form and a report on how they made there decision? Can I find out how many points I scored????

Thanks!

A partner can call on your behalf, but you may need to answer the security questions and authorise the DWP to speak to them.

You should ask for your ESA85 if you had a medical or the ESA85A if you didn't, the ESA113 if there is one and the Decision Makers score sheet. There is a full list of forms in the following FAQ.

ESA Forms

If you are thinking of appealing then you should have a look at the folowing FAQs

Qualifying for the Support Group

Is there any risk to challenging a decision?

How to submit an appeal

How long do I have to appeal?

If you have more questions, please come back to the forum.

hi S34,

With regards to appealing see the APPEALS section on our FAQ's thread from here :

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/forum?func=vie...id=10&id=70444#70444

You only have a month to appeal from the date of the decision on the WRAG award letter that you have received.

You should use a GL24 appeals form, which can be downloaded and printed off from this link :

www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/gl24dwp.pdf

You only need to print off from around page 22 onwards.

With regards to them contacting your G.P. you should ask your G.P. whether they have contacted him, and asked him to fill out an ESA113, see one here:

www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/esa113-interactive.pdf

If not, why not?

You partner can ring on your behalf, and will be asked a few security questions such as your NINO etc

As it would seem that you did not have a face to face assessment, you should request copy of your ESA85A medical report, this should give reasons why you were put in WRAG, and it will also give your "prognosis". the expected length of your WRAG award before re-assessment.

Hope this helps

I have exactly the same condition as you and have not been out since February. My doctor comes to me as does the nurse for my diabetes. I also have been put in the WRAG group but only for 8 weeks as I retire on 6 January. I was informed by the DWP agoraphobia was considered a temporary condition. I understand however you can request your work related interview be carried out at home. Hope this helps. Regards, Paul.SIMON34 wrote:
