Hi, I was receiving some very helpful advice last week from bro58 with regards to my ESA Home Visit tomorrow between 12pm-1pm. I was advised that the implications were the same as a home visit for a medical for DLA and to treat it as such. My house is on the market at the moment as i need three bedrooms instead of the two that i have. Additionally, as my parents also provide care for me as well as a carer, i need to be closer to my parents house. I have two "for sale" signs up at the moment, but am wondering if these would only cause the assessor to focus on my house sale and start questioning me about this and be drawing conclusions about this and writing details about it in his report. Would it be best just to have my carer take the boards down until after the medical?.
Hi m,
I'm afraid it is not possible for me to give a definitive answer here.
It is up to you to make an informed decision on how best to deal with this situation.
cheers

Hi Bro58, thanks for your reply. I understand the dilemma, i've been thinking about what would be the best thing to do for the last few days. I have good reasons for moving house, all health related. I don't want to evade answering questions about it if i were asked, however, as the boards would be the first thing that he would see on entering the house, i don't want that to become the main focus of questioning during the medical rather than my health difficulties.
Hi M,
The decision is yours.
It may be advisable just to focus on your situation as it is now, and worry about any possible changes, if and when you move.
cheers
