If I fail ESA test will my DLA continue until its review date or do I lose that too?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Although the two benefits are seperate and there should not be any knock on effect, some of the ESA descriptors overlap with DLA, for example the mobilising test for ESA and the walking test for DLA, causing the DWP to look at the claim.
Not all claims are re-assessed under these circumstances and even if they are, it does not mean that the claim will be reduced or denied.

Some members have had their DLA reviewed early as a result of a failed ESA claim. If I fail ESA test will my DLA continue until its review date or do I lose that too?

Thank you for your helpful advice. I am very concerned as I have suffered everyday for ten years with severe foot pain, had numerous tests, an unsuccessful operation, paid for private doctors I can't afford, and still don't have a diagnosis. I find it unbelievable that such pain cannot be diagnosed and worry that this will effect my ESA test result.
