After lots of hospital app to different departments as im sure they thought cancer had came back I was finally diagnosed by consultant that I have fybromyalgia, osteo arthiritus, c.o.p.d and several other things so now I'm going back again.
Don't get me wrong I would love to be back working again but who would employ me when some days I cant even get out of my bed!

I've got app on Thursday for Medical for ESA and im dreading it. Any info that would help me would be much appreciated. I survived Breast Cancer 6yrs ago and went back to work and slowly but surely I started to feel unwell and had to give up work 2 years ago. Have been for a medical before but as my useless GP at the time put down I was depressed I was deemed fit for work and esa money stopped and I had no income at all.

Hi no,
There is information on what to expect at a medical assessment on Page 62 onwards of the :
Employment and Support Allowance claims on physical health grounds: a guide to the work capability assessment.
And Page 66 onwards of the :
Employment and Support Allowance claims for Mental Health and Learning Difficulties: a guide to the limited capability for work assessment.
Both accessible from this link :
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/esa
It may also help to read "The WCA Handbook" from the same link, it contains guidance given to ATOS HCP's
cheers

Towards the back of each of the two ESA Claim guides is a section called "Preparing for your medical".
In addition, read through your ESA50 and if you have time, have another look at the claim guides to make sure you fully understand what each of the decsriptors, you think you should score points for, mean.
Goord luck.
