ESA and DLA was created by evey23
I received the EAS50 form 3 weeks ago and have almost completed it thanks to this site. However a renewal for DLA came 2 days ago. I'm a bit confused as to why. I was given DLA for life some 30years ago then they changed it to Indefinite so why have they sent me this form. I rang the DLA office and was told that 20% of people on the Indefinite award are ramdonly checked. Has anyone else come across this?

It's true that any claimant in receipt of DLA, indefinite or time limited can have their award checked randomly , but it's not 20%, I seem to recall it's more like 6% of all DLA
recipients.

hi
yes my sister did, she was on hrm mrc and lost it all
she appealed after a fight and got hrm back and low rate care.
i feel she should have both high rate as she is in a bad way mentally now really, but she is scared they might take it all of her again and then she will be housebound

I was awarded DLA(HRM and HRC)indefinitely in 2008. At the end of last year I was sent a DLA80 form and had to send it back in three weeks. I asked for an extension and got another 2 weeks. I also had another medical, and two weeks after medical I received letter saying nothing had changed, so try not to worry too much.
