Yes, I am still receiving DLA at the same rate and also have a registered carer through the DWP so will complete the claim pack once I get a reply from them.
I will use the guidelines, I think that the change in the claim form, from the one I filled in years ago (particularly the timing to the minute for any help I receive) has thrown me a lot.

I quite understand your concern. Even though you refer to a registered carer through the DWP, it is not actually a condition of getting DLA to have a carer, as far as I know. It is the needs that arise, whether you get that care or not.
Although you may find a carer beneficial, even essential, in your case, having to time the care given to the minute and complete a form to that affect must be a huge bind.
