... and I have just taken your on-line eas test, and scored 81 points according to your test results.
We'll see if my 'medical' today corresponds with that or not. I am not hopeful, but there is always the off chance!
In any event, depending on how it goes, I will post something about the interview and assessment that I have today.
I have been a member for a few weeks and used all the bw guides and information on this site to give myself the best chance of being awarded the benefit that I am entitled to.
I'd like to add that the guides for the transition from IS/DLA to ESA and the ones for filling out the ESA 50 form were really helpful -- I couldn't have got this far without them.
Thanks very much for this site and all the mods who do their best to help steer people like me to helpful information.

Hi,my husband has the ESA medical assesment next week and I would so much appreciate your unput as to how yours went - we didnt even think he would be asked to go for a medical because of several disabilities but then again, we filled out the form before I heard about this site and feel 'conned ' by how we answered some of them now . Thanx for sharing your experience

You're welcome, Cd, and my comments are well deserved.
Welcome to you Tracie, hope you find your way to some good info --lots here on this site.
Well, my news is that appointments were running late and I was rescheduled to go in a couple of weeks.
I did have some first impressions, though:
The centre is not easy to access; the entrance is below street level, with the ramp on the further end (adding 30 metres to the distance). There are cctv cameras, two; one facing the walk toward the entrance and one facing down to the entry door. The door is locked and a entrance button has to be pushed (easy wheelie access to button, though), but someone has to come and let you in.
So, once inside, I got a detailed scrutiny by the receptionist- from my shoes up. Once her eyebrows descended from her hairline, I was escorted into reception through another door down the hall.
The reception area is small and the access port to hand over papers is a very narrow slit at the bottom of a thick glass window next to a heavy locked door with wire-reinforced glass window that leads into the office. Looked like a prison, and was not very friendly.
I was treated in a courteous manner and rescheduled and escorted back to the entrance.
Not sure why all the escorting, but there must be a reason, as there were other people waiting to be seen in reception.
Sorry Tracie, there is not much to report today, but I will revisit and update this thread when I have got through the assessment.
Looks like from your post that your husband will be going before me, so you may wish to post your experience for me to read! Good luck to both of you on the day.
