National insurance credits was created by lily321
Hi
Is it right that if your on incapacity beefit you get NI credits. Up untill I was ill I paid a full stamp.
Also would this affect the amount you get when moved.
Also does any one know the rates ? and does it matter if one has savings.

Yes, you receive NI credits towards your State Pension.

No, they don't affect the amount you are paid on ESA, this will either be what you are currently receiving, if your IB payments are more than the equivalent ESA rate, or the ESA rate if they are less. This is called Transitional Protection and will last as long as your claim for ESA(CB) is continuous or 2020.

Your savings do not affect affect ESA(CB).
