ESA - covering letter with medical evidence

I am migrating from IB to ESA and completed the form in depth, at least I thought it was, and sent a consultant's letter that stated the diagnosis and that I had an accident and that I was severely disabled and it was permanent. I phoned to ask why this evidence wasn't accepted and why was I being sent for an assessment and I was told it needed to be more up-to-date.
I had seen a consultant but only a couple of days before I needed to post off the ESA50 form so wasn't able to include a more recent consultant letter.
With what I have read regarding ESA I have become paranoid and don't want anything I put to jeopardise my claim.
Can anyone please advise. Thank you.

Hello, I will be sending up-to-date medical evidence and need to know what to write in a covering letter that won't compromise my claim.

Hi C,
If you have any fresh evidence that you were unable to send with your ESA50, you could send copy of it now, by recorded delivery, to the same address that you returned your ESA50 to, and also to the DWP Decision Maker.
As it seems that you have to attend a face to face assessment, you could also take copy of it to the assessment, to give to the ADA.

Your covering letter could simply state that you are now providing fresh evidence that you wish to be taken into account in you ESA Assessment, and that you did not have it at the time of returning your ESA50.

When I send this new evidence will my file be looked at again automatically?
What do I write so not to jeopardise my claim?
Thank you.
